Jai Veeru’s Diwali

The Diwali season arrived early at Jai Veeru, and the office buzzed with festive cheer, laughter, and the aroma of sweets. It wasn’t just another week—it was a celebration wrapped in sparkle, smiles, and a touch of signature JV madness.

Before the festivities began, the team went all out with decorations. The office shimmered with flowers and lights, and the reception looked especially stunning—almost like a disco! The next day, everyone came in their ethnic best, following the mandatory dress code. Well, almost everyone—Aamir couldn’t find his Kurta at the last moment. He literally had to order one from Myntra, and it arrived within just 30 minutes, saving him from a fashion disaster.

As the day began, gifts awaited on every desk. The celebrations kicked off with an auspicious Pujja, where the team prayed to Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi for prosperity.

Then came the fun and games. First up was the crowd-favorite “Ek Machli Pani Mein Gayi”, where Madhur and Salman emerged victorious, winning hampers for their efforts. Next was the Pillow Game, which had a hilarious twist: the winners weren’t those who caught the pillow but the ones sitting beside them! In this unexpected turn of fate, Shabnam and Aniket took home the victory and their well-deserved hampers.

The fashion contest followed, with prizes for the best-dressed gentleman and lady. The judges? The employees themselves. Before voting, Ranjini gave everyone a chance to plead their case. Anoop’s “kidney-touching” story of walking 50 km to find his dress (and then walking 50 km back home) won everyone’s hearts and the prize. On the ladies’ side, Sheetal wowed everyone with her stunning saree and clinched the top spot.from the women’s side.

Next came heartfelt speeches from employees and management, followed by bonus distributions. Lunch was a feast for the senses—sizzling starters and a delicious main course with both veg and non-veg options. After a brief work session post-lunch, the real fun began: Paaaaartyyyyy!

The reception transformed into a disco, lights dimmed, music blaring, and the team danced their hearts out. Refreshments made the dance even more enjoyable, but the stars on the floor were undoubtedly Kajal and Shabnam—they set the floor on fire!

Amid the festivities, the team also collaborated on a new theme anthem for the ‘Sankalp Bharat’ event and prepared to unveil SRIAS Life Space’s new logo during the week.

The week concluded with Aniket’s official last day. The office already felt a little dimmer, like a light had been turned down. But we gave him a send-off in true JV style—over-the-top Bollywood drama! Charu played “Babul Ki Duayen Leti Ja”, the team draped a scarf to mimic a doli, and the prank finale carried Aniket to the exit. His priceless expression—a mix of “I love you guys” and “I will never speak to you again after this”—was comedy gold.

This week was unforgettable, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and festive flavor. Here’s wishing the JV team many more weeks like this in the future!

Sambha signs off, wishing you all a very Happy Diwali!
