This week was a fun one for the JV team. The festive spirit was in full swing, with Durga Puja vibes all around and both Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti falling on the same day. That meant one less day off — a major disappointment for the team — but that didn’t stop them from making the most of the holiday they got.

Also, Jiko and Ranjini returned from their vacation, and the first thing they did was conduct a brainstorming session with all the designers. Together, they came up with some fresh and innovative ideas for Uniglobe’s yearly calendar, setting the tone for the week ahead. On the work front, the team also participated in an introductory meeting with the SRIAS Life Spaces team.
The highlight of the week was Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale. The irresistible offers had everyone checking out discounted prices on items they’d been eyeing for weeks, if not months. Salman turned out to be the biggest winner — he got a sleek new phone at a great price. While he was thrilled with his purchase, the rest of the team seemed even happier, because a new phone meant a treat! They strong-armed him into giving one, and though their ambitious demands for pizza and burgers eventually came down to samosas and kachoris, the team was more than content.

The tail end of the week turned out to be the most amusing. Kajal and Charu ordered ice cream that came packed with dry ice, which quickly stirred up some playful chaos in the office. The dry ice awakened Anoop’s inner scientist — he dropped the dry ice into a glass of hot water, creating a smoky effect that left everyone amazed. I’m not sure about the science behind it, but the spectacle was absolutely otherworldly.

To wrap up the week, the team took part in a fun team-building exercise — a twist on Simon Says. Instead of “Simon,” the commands featured “Salman” and “Aniket,” where “Salman” meant sit and “Aniket” meant stand. Aamir started our game monitor started with the commands, but struggled to eliminate anyone, so HR stepped in. True to her expertise, she managed to eliminate everyone, leaving no winners! In the final round, Aniket and Aamir were both knocked out simultaneously. So technically, no one won, but in a way, everyone did — because it turned into a cherished memory.
And that wraps up this week’s JV saga. See you next week!
