Work Hard, Spin Harder

Three weeks in a row, the JV team expands and adds a new member. This time, the new addition was to the design team as a video editor—Nikhil joined the JV team. If you ask me, I am delighted, as now I have more targets to observe on a daily basis. After the introductions we moved straight into our go-to team bonding game, Simon Says, or as we call it here, “The Manager Says.”

On the work front, the week stayed packed as the team moved ahead with AEO and worked on social media content for SRIAS and ICBC. The Uniglobe calendar also progressed, with Ankur Sir visiting the office to brainstorm ideas with Salman, adding insight and direction to the project. But the best part of the day came right after the meeting. It was Ankur Sir’s birthday, and the whole team decided to make it special. A quick plan turned into a small joyful celebration. Someone arranged a cake, someone picked up a gift, and everyone gathered around to surprise him. The office that had been tense with deadlines minutes earlier suddenly felt lighter as everyone sang and laughed.

The real fun was the game on the last day of the week; coincidentally, it was Children’s Day, and this game made everyone a child. The task was simple and chaotic at the same time. Everyone had to bend down, spin around a pen ten times, and then run toward the center of the office. Two groups stood on opposite sides, and the moment the spinning began, the whole room turned into a dizzy festival. People staggered, people laughed, people almost fell, and yet everyone kept going because winning felt important even in all the wobbling. In the end, one team managed to stay on their feet long enough to reach the middle first. The winning team was made up of Anoop, Charu, Anjali, Sheetal, Madhur, and Shabnam. The week closed with smiles, new memories, and a sense of togetherness that made the office feel even more like home.
