Hey, dosto! Sambha here, back with all the juicy details from JVC’s brightest week yet – our Diwali celebration filled with joy, laughter, and some unforgettable surprises!
The week started with a grand Diwali party on Monday. Walking into the office felt like entering a festival wonderland, with diyas and fairy lights draped everywhere, and everyone dressed in their finest traditional attire. Aniket looked around and said, “Arre wah, aaj toh JVC mein asli diwali wala vibe hai!” Laughter filled the room as everyone admired each other’s festive outfits, ready for a day packed with fun and surprises.
To kick off the festivities, we jumped into our Monday activity: a full-on game of Dumb Charades. The teams were split, and with each bizarre movie name, the competition got fiercer. Manish mimicked a complicated action sequence, leaving everyone guessing, and Ranjini shook his head, laughing, “Kya ho raha hai? Is it a movie or a workout routine?” Everyone burst into laughter, with Aniket yelling, “Yeh toh Oscar-winning performance hai!”
In the end, Ranjini, Kajal, Salman, and Sheetal’s team took the L, which meant – planks for them! As they hit the floor for their forfeit, Kajal grumbled, “Aise hi haar gaye, koi insaaf nahi hai!” Anoop couldn’t resist teasing, “Arre Kajal ji, Diwali hai, thoda fitness bhi ho jaye!” The room was filled with laughs, making even the planks feel like a game.
Then came a special moment – Jiko’s wife, Sanchita, joined us for the Diwali puja. The atmosphere turned reverent as everyone gathered around, and as Sanchita led the aarti, there was a collective calm, a real sense of unity in the room. Right after the puja, Ranjini cleared her throat and announced, “Dosto, Diwali pe toh humne socha kuch khaas hona chahiye.” The room fell silent, curious about what was coming next.
With a smile, Ranjini continued, “Isliye, sabke liye gifts, Diwali bonus, aur – four days of holiday leave!” For a second, there was complete silence. Then, Sheetal let out a cheer, “Yeh hui na baat, Ranjini ma’am!” The entire room erupted with claps, cheers, and a few shouts of pure joy. Salman declared, “Diwali toh ab asli mein shuru hui hai!”
With spirits soaring, we gathered around for the much-awaited lunch. The spread was a feast fit for royalty: Afghani momos, dahi ke sholay, paneer tikka, kadhai paneer – and, of course, endless trays of sweets. Anoop took a bite of the dahi ke sholay and exclaimed, “Yeh toh kamaal ka hai! Kaun banaya?” to which Kajal laughed, “Diwali ke mauke par sab kamaal hi hai!”
The day wrapped up with everyone feeling like they’d just experienced the best Diwali ever – laughter, food, and gifts galore. As they left, Salman looked around at the lights still glowing and said, “Yaar, yeh JVC ka Diwali party toh dil se nahi bhoolenge!”
And that’s how Diwali week unfolded at JVC. Until next time, dosto, remember – “Picture abhi baaki hai!” See you next week with more JVC adventures!
